When the clouds come into contact with each other, a static electricity charge occurs and this causes a voltage difference between the earth and the clouds. This voltage difference causes an uncontrolled discharge in the sky to the earth between the clouds and the earth. It is not possible to predict where and when this event, which we call a lightning strike, will occur. Lightning protection systems are called systems that allow this uncontrolled and high electrical energy to be transferred to the ground in a controlled manner.<\/p>\n

Lightning rod basically consists of 3 basic components<\/strong>;<\/p>\n

Capture Tip:<\/strong> It is the circuit element that draws the electric charge to itself in the event of a lightning strike within the Protection Area.<\/p>\n

Down Conductor:<\/strong> It is the circuit element that is used to transfer the electrical charge that will occur due to the lightning strike to the ground electrode. Generally, 2 pieces of 50mm2<\/sup> solid copper are preferred.<\/p>\n

Grounding Device:<\/strong> It is the circuit element that provides the transfer of the electric charge to the ground due to the lightning strike.<\/p>\n
